Gastric Cancer Risk Stratification Test (ABC Classification) [LA] Report
ABC Classification
Helicobacter Pylori Antibody
< 10 (-)
≥ 10 (+)

Group A
Group B
(1+) - (3+)
Group D
Group C
Group A
Generally healthy gastric mucosa and low risk of gastric disease.
Pay attention to diseases not related to H. pylori, such as reflux esophagitis.
Although most likely uninfected, a portion of the population includes those with
H. pylori infection or a history of infection. It is ideal to undergo an imaging test such as endoscopy at least once.
Group B
Slightly weakened gastric mucosa. Pay attention to gastric and duodenal ulcers.
There is also a risk of gastric cancer. Undergo an endoscopic examination.
Treatment for eradication of H. pylori is recommended.
Group C
Weakened gastric mucosa with advanced atrophy.
This type is prone to gastric cancer.
Regular endoscopic examinations are recommended.
Eradication of H. pylori is also recommended.
Group D
Gastric mucosa with very advanced atrophy.
There is a risk of developing gastric cancer and other diseases.
Diagnosis of H. pylori infection is recommended.
Please consult a specialized medical institution for diagnosis, such as an endoscope.
Group E
Those who have undergone eradication of
H. pylori should undergo regular endoscopic examinations as Group E (eradication group)
regardless of the result of the eradication determination.
Although the risk of developing gastric cancer in group E is reduced by eradication, it is not zero, so endoscopic follow-up is necessary even after eradication.
Precautions for Gastric Cancer Risk Stratification Test (ABC Classification) [LA]
Correct results may not be obtained in the following cases:
Those with obvious upper gastrointestinal symptoms
Patients undergoing treatment for upper gastrointestinal tract diseases
Those taking proton pump inhibitors
Patients who have undergone gastrectomy
Those with renal failure
Those who have undergone H. pylori eradication treatment
