ウイルス分離・同定検査を実施するためには適切な分離用検査材料と、同時に発病後できるだけ早期に採取することが大切です。
ウイルス分離材料の選択は、分離率向上のため、できる限り複数の材料をご提出ください。

検体採取および保存方法

検査材料	ウイルス専用容器への採取方法
患部ぬぐい液・水疱内容・糞便　など	※2 滅菌綿棒でぬぐい、下図の採取方法でウイルス専用保存液に採取し、冷蔵保存してください。
尿・髄液・胸水・鼻汁　など	下図の採取方法でウイルス専用保存液と等量の検体を採取し、冷蔵保存してください。
組織	組織小片 (5mm角程度) をウイルス専用保存液に入れ冷蔵保存してください。

※1 同定検査は当社の分離検査において分離された検体のみの受付けとなります。
※2 滅菌綿棒はプラスチック棒かアルミニウム棒付の綿棒で採取してください。

For the isolation and identifi cation of virus, it is important to have appropriate testing materials and to have samples collected as soon as possible after the onset.
When selecting materials for the isolation of virus, please send in more than one materials wherever possible for a better isolation rate.

Sampling and storage method

Testing Material	Virus sampling method to dedicated containers
Swab of aff ected area, vesicle fluid, stool, etc.	*2 Wipe aff ected area with a sterile cotton swab. Transfer the specimen into a container with virus preservation solution according to the methods shown in the figures below. Then, refrigerate the specimen.
Urine, cerebrospinal fluid, pleural fluid, nasal discharge, etc.	Collect a specimen of an equivalent volume to the virus preservation solution according to the method shown in figures below, and refrigerate the specimen.
Tissues	Collect a small piece of tissue specimen (about 5 mm cube), and place it into the virus preservation solution. Then, refrigerate the specimen.

*1 For the identifi cation, only samples that have been isolated by SRL are accepted.
*2 Use a sterile cotton swab with a plastic or aluminum shaft for sampling.

臨床意義

病原ウイルスの分離・同定は，ウイルス感染の実験室診断の本筋であり，検体中のウイルスが少量の場合でも，ウイルスが検出に用いられた宿主細胞内で増殖することによって増幅されるので，ウイルス直接検出法により感度が高い。しかし，検出対象は感染性のウイルスに限られ，また，未だに培養不能な一部のウイルスもある。
ウイルスの分離・同定には，対象であるウイルスが増殖しえる生きた宿主細胞が不可欠であり，多くのウイルスは細胞培養を用いて分離できるが，ウイルスによっては動物や発育鶏卵が必要である。ウイルスの型決め，疫学調査，特に伝播経路の追跡，抗原変異の調査にはウイルス分離・同定は欠かすことの出来ないものである。
